An EFL statement said it had been informed by the financially troubled club, whose players have suffered a number of wage payment delays in recent months, that it was unable to stage the game. As a result, the League had been “forced to suspend the game and under EFL Regulations, the club is now deemed to be guilty of misconduct and will be referred to an Independent Disciplinary Commission.
